Legal and Procurement Unit provides expertise, support and advice to the agency and its management. It manages and minimises legal risks related to the compliance with rules governing Frontex activities, procurements, decisions and internal procedures. It mitigates the inherent legal risks entailed in the expanding operational footprint of the agency and the European standing corps on the ground. It ensures the successful establishment of contracts to procure goods and services. The Unit manages the procedure for public access to documents applications via a cross-divisional network of case handlers.
The Legal and Procurement Unit is divided in two sectors: Legal Services and Procurement.
