The job of the Data Protection Officer in Frontex is to advise anybody who processes personal data on how to do it in line with our legal basis. It is an independent function which requires working closely with several units within the agency, allowing me to get a unique picture of how Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, works. Frontex is a young and ambitious organisation, which keeps changing and evolving. This also means that there is no time to be bored!
