Belgium, Poland, Spain, Sicily – this is how one of our officer’s European career path started. After 24 years of service in the Belgian Police, Kevin became a member of the European Border and Coast Guard standing corps in 2020.
A border guard officer and shift leader, he is currently serving at a border crossing point between Albania and Greece, where he checks documents and cars, thus supporting the Greek Police and Customs on a daily basis.
“Every day, I am so thankful that Frontex gave me the opportunity to work with great colleagues from all over Europe,” he says.
Many have become his friends in the meantime, but all the international colleagues that he has met at different border points influenced him “for the best and forever”.
