Raquel, a recruit from Portugal training, became one of the first members of the Frontex standing corps. After 13 years as a police officer, she decided to apply to join Europe’s first uniformed law enforcement service.
"Being the first one, it means a lot, we were the chosen ones. I'm very proud because I believe we are a great team. Me and my colleagues work very well together, we all get along and our different background help us to make our work a success."
