Arturo serves as Commanding Officer of an Italian coast guard ship deployed to Spain. Since 2019, Arturo has been part of the International Affairs Office at the Guardia Costiera HQ. With Frontex, he helps protect the Mediterranean Sea, commanding Nave R. Aringhieri.
