Frontex's recruitment process is independent and separate from that of
other EU institutions and EU agencies. Frontex organises recruitment processes
with a view to filling vacant posts according to the Agency's recruitment needs
and plans.
The recruitment procedure for specific
posts typically includes these steps:
- Frontex launches a recruitment by
publishing vacancy notices on the Agency's internet site
- Each vacancy notice contains all the
necessary information on the post in question and the selection procedure
- For an application to be considered
valid, it must be submitted using a specific Frontex Application Form and
submitted/uploaded by the stated deadline
- Valid applications are first checked
for applicants’ eligibility
- All eligible applications are
screened and evaluated based on a combination of selection criteria defined
in the vacancy notice
- The best-qualified applicants are
short-listed for an interview and a written test
- Based on the outcomes of tests and
interviews, the Executive Director makes the decision to appoint the most
successful applicant for the post in question

may provide a more specific (and more detailed) description of the
recruitment process.
