    • Frontex is an autonomous EU Agency and has therefore its own Financial Regulation.

    In accordance with this Regulation the relevant provisions of the Financial Regulation applicable to the General Budget of the Union (Council Regulation (EC, Euratom) No. 2024/2509 shall apply.

    According to the abovementioned Regulation, Title VII - Procurement and Concessions and Annex I - Procurement, the choice of tender procedure and advertising requirements depend mainly on the threshold amount of each planned contract and are currently as follows:





    Value of the call for tender:
    < €15,000.01

    Minimum procedure required
    Negotiated procedure with a single supplier/service provider

    Means of advertising
    No advertising

    Value of the call for tender:
    €15,000.01 - €60,000.00

    Minimum procedure required
    Negotiated procedure with at least 3 candidates without a contract notice - Low Value Negotiated Procedure

    Means of advertising
    Advertising on Frontex Webpage

    Value of the call for tender:
    > €60,000.00 and less
    than €143,000 for supplies
    and services

    Minimum procedure required
    Negotiated procedure with at least 5 candidates without a contract notice - Middle Value Negotiated Procedure
