Frontex, EUAA, Europol and Italy use Lampedusa as a testing ground for a new screening process in view of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum

From 13 to 24 October, Frontex, EUAA, Europol, and Italian authorities tested the EU’s new screening process on Lampedusa, a step toward implementing the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum across the EU and Schengen-Associated countries from 12 June 2026.
