The draft agreement is on the agenda of the Management Board of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency when it meets on 8 and 9 February. As soon as the Management Board gives the green light, the Agency's Executive Director will be able to formally sign the Headquarters Agreement with the Polish authorities. The Polish authorities will then be able to begin the ratification procedure in the Polish parliament.
The Headquarters Agreement regulates various issues related to the hosting of Frontex by Poland, including those related to the seat of the Agency and the status of its employees.
