    Guidelines for European Common Minimum Standards for Border Surveillance

    Frontex is pleased to share the Guidelines for Common Minimum Standards for Border Surveillance, that were developed in support to the Member States. Based on the national practices, they outline a set of common minimum denominators for the adequate, effective, and timely performance of border surveillance at the EU’s external borders to maintain the necessary capacity and readiness against various short-term and long-term risks.

    Children at the borders: our shared priority

    On the occasion of the International Children's Day, Frontex highlights the need of bringing together all relevant law enforcement and civil society experts to protect the children. VEGA is one of Frontex’s flagship initiatives that offers border-specific guidelines for the border guards to identify children on the move who may be at risk of trafficking and help them before they fall victim of any crime.
