On 30 June - 01 July, the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME), the Research Executive Agency (REA) and the Network of Security National Contact Points (SEREN4), will organise the first official Infoday on Horizon Europe – Cluster 3 - Civil Security for Society.
During the event, participants will identify research topics dedicated to the first calls for proposals in Cluster 3 and establish possible options for dialogue between stakeholders.
Frontex role is to present the relevant calls for the European border and coast guard community, industry and academia, and to support consortia in the development of future proposals. The Infoday will constitute the framework for discussions with the Agency on the design and development of new EU Research and Innovation project proposals in the area of border management and security.
According to the newly published Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2021-2022, Frontex plays a major role in facilitating innovations for the border and coast guard community. Proposals under the Border Management (BM) calls will address the priorities of Frontex starting from the design of their work and engage with the Agency in the development of the project.
