Frontex released a second edition of the Frontex Research Glossary. The goal of this publication is to serve as a glossary of terminology applicable in Frontex research and foresight studies. It is intended to provide the EBCG (the European Border and Coast Guard) with a source of frequently used terms, concepts, and phrases. With this publication, Frontex Research and Innovation hopes to facilitate and improve the dialogue and understanding among all those who are involved in Frontex research and innovation activities. The ultimate goal is to agree on common language to effectively conduct these activities and maximize the value of their outcomes.
It is expected that the terminology usage will evolve alongside the continuous dialogue and changing research needs of the European Border and Coast Guard community. The glossary will be regularly updated in line with these changes and maintained as a living document.
