EU research

Frontex has a new EU research tab!

2020-10-29

Frontex is delighted to announce the launch of a new section in its website, which contains information on the activities of the Agency and EU funded projects that conduct research and innovation in the border management and border security domains. Working closely with the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Union (DG-Home) and the Research Executive Agency (REA), Frontex has developed this section to bring together all essential information on EU funded projects of interest to the EU Border and Coast Guard community.

The new section of the website provides an easy access to information on border security related Horizon projects, with a wide range of research topics, potential products and networks for enhancing border management and security. An additional, significant benefit of this section is its focus on news, events and documentation, which are of key relevance to the EU Border and Coast Guard community. It also provides relevant online links to each of the projects’ social (media) platforms. Thus, it offers the opportunity to actively follow their work.

This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information related to research and innovation in the area of border security. The new section will be regularly updated with current events, publications and other resources associated with Frontex activities in the area of EU research and innovation.
