Bridging the gap between law enforcement and security research

2020-09-24

The ILEAnet (Innovation by Law Enforcement Agencies Networking) project aims to bridge the gap between Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) practitioners and the security research community to facilitate the uptake of research solutions and promote concrete results for safer Europe. Therefore, it conducts studies, designs processes and tools, and holds webinars and public workshops.

On the 3rd to 5th November 2020, with the support and participation of Frontex, ILEAnet will dedicate its third public workshop to “Innovative Technologies for Border Management”, focusing on three areas of work - registration, pre-frontier area monitoring and the use of information systems. It will take place online and is open to LEA practitioners, solution providers and academics dealing with migration-related issues.

ILEAnet is a project funded under Horizon 2020. Its main aim is the development of a network of LEA practitioners focused on research, development and innovation (RDI). The project supports dialogue between practitioners and the research community to increase the Law Enforcement awareness of innovative solutions.
