FOCUS AREA: underwater threats detection and classification, underwater security risk assessment, situational awareness, decision making support
The UnderSec project team will develop a modular, interoperable and cyber secure prototype system, to enhance underwater security operations. The UnderSec system will consist of multimodal (i.e. optical, electromagnetic, acoustic) sensors, fixed and/ or integrated onboard robotic assets assisted by multimodal Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Digital Twins techniques, for ships’, ports’ and maritime infrastructures’ Underwater Security Situational Awareness, Common Operational Picture generation/ distribution, Decision-Making Support, with relevant Command/ Control/ Response capabilities.
Individual technologies will be tested, compared with each other and pre-evaluated in a controlled environment, while the modular components and the system will be tested and evaluated during real-life Pilot Use Case demonstrations in real operational environments.
