ISOLA project’s key objective is to contribute to the safety and security within the maritime domain by enhancing situational awareness and supporting ship’s security stakeholders (i.e.: crew and passengers). It aims at establishing a comprehensive ship security system which will be aligned and harmonised with the existing regulations.

This systematic and fully automated security approach will incorporate innovative technologies for sensing, monitoring, data fusion, alarming and reporting in real-time during illegal incidents. All the addressed technologies will be affordable and fully-customized for the security practitioners’ needs.

Foreseeable Outcomes:

  • strategies and methods to easily integrate solutions regarding safety within the existing ship systems
  • innovative sensor and visual technologies to support security
  •  a complex collaborative system for monitoring and detecting security incidents and early warning methods
  •  collect incident evidences by exploiting augmented reality technology
  • model, classify and easily report security events
