The ILEAnet project’s key objective is to develop a sustainable Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) practitioners’ network, encouraging and organising the dialogue between those practitioners and research community to make them aware of innovative solutions to help them in their daily work. Focusing on concrete results, ILEAnet aims to play a facilitating role in the uptake process of security research projects’ outputs in four priority areas: migration, serious organised crime, cybercrime and terrorism. It ranges from the articulation of LEAs’ operational needs to the identification of the solutions brought by research and innovation projects and the support of the deployment-related activities. ILEAnet is also concerned with helping inform a LEA-driven research agenda and initiating research projects.

  • knowledge management including monitoring research and innovation projects to facilitate the uptake of results
