Open invitation to attend an industry day workshop on a Frontex consultation on the potential for industry provision of ‘deployable support to external border crossing registration’.
Frontex invites representatives of industry to participate in this one-day workshop to explore Frontex options to rent in the future ‘turnkey’ services supporting the registration of migrants in the EU external border. This event is being held in Frontex premises, Warsaw, on 28 January 2016, and will be run back to back with a meeting with Member States representatives addressing the same topic. Frontex intends to invite also representatives of EC and large scale IT systems Agency EU-LISA.
As a representative of industry you may be interested in finding out more about Frontex future intentions in this area and the workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss those aspects of the service provision which are of importance to industry.
The objectives of the workshop are as follows:
- To help Frontex explore and understand potential providers issues/questions/concerns about the provision of deployable registration services;
- To allow Industry to explore and understand the implications of Frontex proposals for them.
To attend the workshop you will need to register by e-mailing rdusur@frontex.europa.eu as soon as possible. Please, include in your registration e-mail a short text describing:
- Experience your company has on registration technologies;
- Products your company may propose for Frontex services.
Attendance is free of charge, but attendees must cover by themselves the costs related to their participation in the workshop. Please, bear in mind that depending on the level of interest, we may need to limit attendance. More details as well as logistical details will be sent to the selected participants. Selection will be based on space availability and on the relevance of the information provided in your registration message.
