Workshop on highly innovative/cutting edge border security technologies, applications, equipment

Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, intends to organise in September 2018 a workshop with representatives of European industry and academia who have developed outstanding/cutting edge border security equipment, systems, applications. The agency is especially interested in presenting technologies awarded prizes in international exhibitions of inventions, scientific conferences or contests.

The developers, representatives of the European Border Guard Authorities and Frontex experts will attend the workshop where the mentioned technologies will be presented and their impact on the border security will be discussed.

For the border guard community, the meeting will be an opportunity to learn about the available breakthrough innovation related to the border control technologies, identify options and opportunities for developing future capacities and offer answers to specific questions and needs for this field.

For the industry and academia, the event will provide a proper framework to promote their recognised developments and meet with potential end-users.
 
Representative of the industry and academia are invited to register their interest in contributing to the event as presenters
by 15 March 2018, at dragos.voicu@frontex.europa.eu. In the email, please include a description of the proposed innovative technologies.

A number of proposals will be selected based on relevance to the topic of the workshop. The results of the selection and the date of the event will be communicated in April 2018.
