On 27 March 2025, Frontex, the
European Border and Coast Guard Agency, will hold an Industry Day on platforms
and services for innovation management.
Frontex is working on the implementation
of a collaborative Innovation Management System (IMS) for the European
Border and Coast Guard (EBCG) community compliant with the ISO 56000 family of
standards. The goal of this IMS is to support the planning and coordination of innovation-related
activities in line with the innovation strategy, policies, and objectives to be
accomplished.
The IMS includes a
value-based innovation process guiding the implementation of innovation-related
actions triggered by the ideas, needs and opportunities identified by the EBCG
community. These solutions can be deployed and bring value to operational
actors creating a new capability. The IMS should be supported by a comprehensive
knowledge management platform with an Artificial Intelligence feature to
improve usability and accessibility of the knowledge base.
In this context, Frontex
is interested in the following solutions:
- Off-the-shelf innovation management platforms supporting
a collaborative approach to gather needs, ideas, and opportunities that
would be a driving force for a value-based innovation process.
- General-purpose knowledge management platforms that
can be tailored to specific needs of an innovation management system
including Artificial
Intelligence functionality.
- Consultancy services supporting the design and
implementation of innovation management systems, processes, and
methodologies.
This Industry Day is an
opportunity to:
- share your latest technological developments and
state-of-the-art solutions by delivering a short presentation.
- register your innovative solutions on an
interactive digital exhibition platform.
- connect with the European Border and Coast Guard
community composed of Frontex experts and Member States’ border guard
authorities.
If you are a private company
developing cutting-edge tools or providing services and advice to support the
implementation of an innovation management system, please express your interest
in presenting your solutions by 12 March 2025 by filling in an online
registration form.
Technological solutions must comply
with technical and legal requirements arising from the EU data protection framework
and human rights provisions. All submissions will be evaluated internally,
ensuring their alignment with the needs of the European Border and Coast Guard
community while guaranteeing fair and transparent treatment of all
participants. The selection is based on the following criteria: effectiveness,
efficiency, innovation, compliance with standards and relevance for the
European Border and Coast Guard community. All relevant innovative solutions
will be given the opportunity to register on Frontex’s interactive digital
exhibition platform.
