Conference brief: Future Training Technologies

Frontex is thrilled to announce the release of the Summary of the Conference on Future Training Technologies. This document, now available to the public, contains insights of the conducted discussions on the future of the training for border management officials. It also covers other themes such as research initiatives and actions of Frontex and other JHA Agencies seeking to innovate and build up new capabilities for sectoral training and innovative industry solutions that can support the training of border management officials and knowledge sharing.

The conference, which brought together over 250 professionals and industry representatives from across the globe, was a vibrant platform for the exchange of ideas, strategies, and best practices for innovating in the training for law enforcement. Held in the historical city of Krakow, Poland, the event spanned two action-packed days of keynote speeches, panel discussions, industry and academia presentations and networking sessions, all in a large exhibition area consisting of about 50 dedicated stands showcasing innovative industry solutions that can support the training of law enforcement officers. Researchers developing advanced training concepts and technologies that can be practically applied to support training activities in the European Border and Coast Guard context also contributed to the exhibition. The Summary captures the essence and key takeaways from each segment, offering readers a front-row experience to the groundbreaking technologies and solutions presented and discussions that took place. The research papers, selected for the purpose of the conference and presented during the event, are available as annex.
