Frontex experts
regularly meet with product and service providers in the context of research
and innovation activities called Industry Days (I-Days) to better understand
which solutions can be useful to European border and coast guard authorities.
These events are organized by the Industry Hub, which is the Frontex
contact point for industry, to ensure transparency and fairness on these
interactions.
If you are company
or consortium interested in presenting your solution portfolio to Frontex and
EU border guard authorities in a forthcoming I-Day event we invite you to fill in the industry proposal form with a short description of the products or services
you wish to present.
Companies can also apply to participate and present solutions in general or
thematic I-Days with a specific focus and requirements. Information on upcoming
I-Days and how to apply is published in the Announcements Section of this website.
Submitted
industry proposals identified as the most relevant for the activities and Capability
Roadmap of the European Border and Coast Guard are selected and offered a
presentation timeslot in upcoming I-Days. The selection of industry proposals
also considers the innovation novelty and potential impact for the European
border and coast guard community.
You will be offered
a time-limited presentation slot to showcase your product or service, so make
sure you make the most of it. Keep your presentation to the point by presenting
a selected number of products or services and keep introductory comments to a
minimum.
Following an I-Day event, Frontex will gather feedback from your audience
and share it with you to make sure you gain the most from the experience.
Frontex experts may also follow up with you for more details on the solutions
presented.
I-Days may be organized in different meeting formats (online or in person)
such as workshops, technology demonstrations, and conferences on specific
topics related to border security solutions. Participation in I-Days include
Frontex operational staff and experts from the Member States’ border guard
authorities with specific knowledge and responsibility for border control and
surveillance as well as experts from other Justice and Home Affairs (JHA)
agencies. Depending on the meeting format, invitations may be extended to
industry, academia, and research institutes.
