Workshop with Industry on Vulnerability Assessment Models

2019-12-05

Vulnerability Assessment contributes to an efficient border control at the EU’s external borders at a high and uniform level. This quality-control mechanism helps identify possible weaknesses, which may subsequently lead to measures being issued, so as to prevent crises at the external borders. In the framework of the Vulnerability Assessment, Frontex assesses Member States’ capacity to carry out border-control tasks, in both qualitative and quantitative terms.

To gain a better understanding of the relevant services available on the market, Frontex is holding a workshop for representatives of companies with experience in designing, testing, and implementing different methodologies or mathematical models for assessing vulnerabilities and/or performance, especially in the field of border control. Industry representatives are invited to present their solutions, such as risk assessment, mathematical, or vulnerability assessment models related (but not limited) to the following areas:

  • Border control
  • Financial industry
  • IT and information security
  • Industrial and critical infrastructure

To express your interest in attending the workshop, fill in the online registration form as soon as possible. Please include information on your company’s experience in designing, testing, and implementation of different methodologies applicable for vulnerability assessment; products currently offered by your company in this field, etc.

As there is a limited number of places available, participants will be selected based on the relevance of the portfolio for the topic of the workshop on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Please do not delay your application. The deadline for the registration is 20 January, 2020, 24:00, Warsaw local time. The selected participants will be notified by 22 January, 2020.

The workshop will take place at Frontex headquarters located at Plac Europejski 6, 00-844 Warsaw, Poland, on 12 February, 2020, at 09:00-17:00, Warsaw local time.
