Invitation to Frontex online Industry Days – Law Enforcement 17-18 May 2022

2022-04-20

Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, will hold its next Industry Days event on 17-18 May 2022. The event consists of a series of meetings with industry and will feature live discussions on innovative solutions for law enforcement and presentations conducted through an online showcase platform.

The Frontex I-Days allow industry representatives to share the latest technological developments and innovative solutions for law enforcement and showcase their products and services to the end-user community of Member States’ border and immigration authorities as well as Frontex experts. The aim of the I-Days is to create a forum to freely discuss these innovations among all participants.

If your company is interested in showcasing a technological innovation at the Frontex I-Days virtually, please submit this form by 03.05.2022. You should provide a brief description of the technological innovation you wish to present together with relevant presentation materials such as brochures, technical papers and demonstration videos.

Submissions will undergo an assessment process, which will evaluate the solution’s innovative potential for the EBCG community. 12 selected companies will be given 30 minutes for a live presentation, including a Q&A session.

The following capabilities for law enforcement and immigration authorities will be of particular interest:

  • Safe detection, non-intrusive inspection and identification of hidden persons, harmful substances or illicit goods inside vehicles, vessels, clandestine compartments, or containers.
  • Detection of multiple jamming methods for location equipment.
  • Automatic vehicle number-plate recognition.
  • Automatic Language and dialect recognition from live or pre-recorded audio sources, speech to text with translation support.

Note also that if you have already submitted your application via the online form after 2 March 2022, it will automatically enter in the assessment process as described above, and you only need to re-submit your proposal if there is an update on or development of your solution.

All relevant submissions for border management will be made available on a dedicated interactive online showcase platform accessible to all registered users.

Registrations to this event is done by invitation only.
