The Frontex Industry Days (I-Days) are a series of meetings held with
industry representatives, where the latest developments in technology
and solutions applicable for border management are showcased and
discussed. The March event comprised two days of direct meetings between
Industry, Frontex, EU Agencies and Member States representatives,
offering technology innovators, solution providers, and start-ups the
opportunity to showcase their technologies and innovative solutions.
Following our announcement, 57 relevant applications were submitted by industry representatives from which 20 were invited to an online panel discussion to explore the technical aspects of their proposed solutions in-depth. All applicants were invited to share technical and practical aspects of the proposed innovative technological solutions through an online showcase platform and engaged in live discussions with attendants.
Participants included Frontex experts, representatives from Member States, the European Commission and European Agencies such as EUAA, eu-LISA and EU SatCen.
