I often work with returnees from sub-Saharan Africa. I talk to them, provide them with information about the return procedure and try to calm them down to make the process go smoothly. Forced-return escort and support officers are there to help national authorities in all phases of the return operation. They escort persons who have received a return decision from national authorities, but also identify and assist vulnerable groups or families with children.
