Information Fusion Centre
is a newly established entity in Frontex to provide up-to-date, reliable and
innovative information tools and technology-driven services indispensable for
situation monitoring at the EU's land, sea and air borders.
Currently our
portfolio includes 17 specialised services and is constantly evolving. As the
Head of Information Fusion Centre, I am fully aware that new opportunities come
along with challenges. Lots of effort, time and focus should be put in if you
want to achieve excellence. But one can always embrace change with the clear
vision, right mind-set and by getting the right people on board.
I am happy to lead a talented team of professionals in the fullest sense of the word. Many of my co-workers know that I am not a proponent of micromanagement. I trust my colleagues and allow them a certain amount of autonomy. My colleagues are always encouraged to focus not only on the daily workflow and project outputs but constantly look into the future to identify new opportunities for development within their area of expertise.
