Head of the Centre of Excellence for
Combatting Document Fraud
I joined the Frontex family in 2007 – yes…long
time ago. Previously I led the Air Border Sector staff where we ran almost 100
joint operations and numerous pilot projects. A year ago, I became the head of
the Centre of Excellence for Combatting Document Fraud. It brings together
document experts from all around Europe - highly specialised professional and
technical minds, precise, detail-oriented. Their job is to assist colleagues
working in operations in the field every day. We support border control, the
core business of Integrated Border Management.
Don’t worry, there is no time to get bored here. The dynamic working environment provides growth opportunities to each of us. There we are, in the field, we zoom in, where the detail makes all the difference. We learn, improve and work across the different cultures that characterise the European Union.
