The Financial Services Unit is the centre of excellence for financial support and advice in the preparation and implementation of the budget, and the development of Frontex financial rules adopted by the Management Board. It ensures compliance with the regulatory financial framework and standards applicable to the agency.
It provides supports to the Executive Director in his/her accountability as Authorising Officer through the entire budgetary cycle (from first estimates until discharge), and pro-active budget management and support, thus enabling the agency to perform its tasks effectively.
